Mike Shanahan Jokingly Tells Robert Griffin III to Get in the Game

Okay, so my self-imposed embargo on not writing anything related to Robert Griffin III and Mike Shanahan's relationship lasted one story, but I promise I broke my own promise for a reason.

As Griffin walked the sidelines before Monday's preseason victory over the Steelers, Shanahan stopped him and jokingly told him to get ready to play. Laughter ensued. Then Kirk Cousins got hurt and things weren't as funny when Redskins fans realized at the time that if Griffin isn't healthy enough to play right away, then Rex Grossman would be their starting quarterback. Panic ensued (probably).

But all is well. Cousins' foot sprain is nothing major, and Griffin and Shanahan are in good spirits. For now.
