Keeping Up With the Redskins: Day 2

As we mentioned yesterday, no players can be released before Thursday at 4 p.m. and  free agent signings are not official until Friday at 6 p.m. That being said, here is what the Redskins are rumored to have been up to.

All of the info below is assumed, rumored, alleged, and any other qualifier that means "It's happening, but we can't officially say it's happening."

Veteran Signings
Santana Moss is back. Three years, $15 million, $6 million guaranteed and happy Redskins fans.

Trades
Rumors have Donovan McNabb heading to Minnesota in exchange for a sixth rounder in 2012 and 2013. This deal allegedly depends on a restructuring of McNabb’s contract. Some say the Redskins are holding up the deal, others say McNabb is, and both sides are saying there is no deal. We hope that clears this up for you.

Defensive end Jeremy Jarmon was traded to the Denver Broncos for wide receiver Jabar Gaffney because, as one Tweeter commented “[The Redskins] were really hurting for another fourth wide receiver.”

Free Agent Signings
Donte’ Stallworth is headed down I-95 as he and the Redskins have apparently reached an agreement that has him coming to Washington on a one-year deal. Yay, wide receivers.

Former Giants nose tackle Barry Cofield will be lining up in Washington.

The quarterback drama just got a little more real. The Redskins are rumored to have made a deal with Kellen Clemens. We'll be adding Team Clemens shirts to the mix on Saturday.
