Because it seems that all I write about these days is the Redskins name issue, here's a more lighthearted approach to the proceedings, courtesy of John Oliver.
On his "Last Week Tonight" program on HBO, Oliver tackled the subject, lampooning owner Dan Snyder -- or "Chief Runs Without Moral Compass," as the host referred to him -- and his efforts to keep the polarizing nickname despite enormous backlash.
Oliver then offers a list of topics that are easier to defend than "Redskins." They include:
- Cauliflower is the king of vegetables.
- Camping is actually fun.
- Every flight needs more babies.
The entire segment can be viewed below, though be warned that some of the language used is NSFW.
