JaVale McGee Has First McGee-ey Moment In Denver

When JaVale McGee hit the game-winning shot in his Denver Nuggets debut last month after being acquired from the Washington Wizards, it was a shock to those who watched him flop in D.C., including me. I said this the next day:

Hey Denver, if he starts doing anything [laughable] (and history proves that he will), give us a call.

Well, I don't know anybody in Denver, so nobody called me, but I have Google, so I found out that McGee had his first McGee-like moment for the Nuggets Saturday.

Within the span of 55 game seconds, McGee goaltended, missed a putback dunk, slipped and practically fell and had a shot blocked into his face.

There is no longer a need for make a career retrospective for McGee. That minute-long segment from one game was McGee's career in a nutshell.
