Hall Calls for Hall's Jersey

Canton next stop for No. 23

It's a turnover the Redskins won't be mad about.

After tying an NFL record Sunday with four interceptions in a game, Redskins' cornerback DeAngelo Hall is turning over his jersey to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Hall said Tuesday on Twitter that the No. 23 he wore in Sunday's 17-14 win over Chicago is on the way to Canton, Ohio.

"Just got word Canton came and picked up my jersey from the Chicago Game, not sure what to even say to that...but #BeatDetroit," Hall tweeted. "Definitely Humbled and Honored by that...Thanks again to Best Fans and Organization in the National Football League for all the support!"

A spokesman for the Hall of Fame confirmed that it had asked for the jersey.

Hall is the 19th player to intercept four passes in a game, and the first to do it since Deltha O'Neal with Denver in 2001.

"I've never had more than two picks in a game, six in a season," Hall said after Sunday's game. "It's mind blowing. I had my mom, my aunt and my two cousins in the stands, and the first ball went to my mom, the second to my aunt, and the next thing you know, everybody had a ball."
