No Need For DeAngelo Hall In Washington

The buzzword in Washington right now is "change". With voters demanding change with their voices on Tuesday, I think we need another voice to speak out about another change.

Daniel Snyder and the Washington Redskins need to stop trying to bring in other team's problems and outcasts. Boy, would that be a change.

A buddy of mine asked me what I though about the Skins going after DeAngelo Hall, who the Raiders recently dumped. I told him that I wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. His risks far outweigh his rewards. Yeah, the Redskins are banged up in the secondary but not bad enough that they need to consider bringing in Hall.

I'm not the only Redskins fan that feels that way. Now with rumors that the team is pursuing Hall, I'm hoping someone decides it is a bad idea as well.

When FanHouse first started, I did the Fantasy Football stuff here. One of the predictions I used every week was to name whomever was going up against Hall (then with the Falcons) as a stud. Usually it worked out. Hank Baskett went nuts with 177 yards receiving. Hines Ward tacked on 171 yards of his own. Joey Galloway had 161 yards. Devery Henderson had 158. Roy Williams had 138 yards. Santana Moss poured on 123 yards.

I want the Redskins to change! This season alone, the team has taken in a disgruntled Jason Taylor and a unemployed Shaun Alexander. They will forever be thrown on the pile with Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders, Jeremiah Trotter, Jeff George and Jesse Armstead.

Please just leave this alone, Mr. Snyder. This team is in the thick of the playoff race and don't need a malcontent screwing it up.
