Earlier in the day, Eric McErlain informed us about the Cold War brewing between Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin and Washington's Alexander Ovechkin. Apparently the two aren't really fond of each other, and to further build the excitement a bit, there's always the Alex Semin/Sidney Crosby spat. Not to mention their odd fighting styles. Will the two go slap-to-groin punch toe-to-toe tonight during the game? We can only hope.
To make things more interesting, these are two teams going in different directions. The Caps are in a hotly contested race for the Eastern Conference crown while the Penguins are doing their best 'Titanic' impression. Hey, maybe you're just the kind of person who wants to see the Penguins season completely derail tonight. Despite the difference in direction, it should still be an interesting game.
