Buffalo Bills Make Lee Evans the NFL's Third Highest Paid Receiver

The Buffalo Bills have signed WR Lee Evans to a four-year extension worth $37.25 million. The new deal makes Evans the third highest paid receiver in the NFL.

Guess who the top two are (I'll have the answer later).

"It's really hard to put into words. I'm very excited," Evans told The Associated Press. "I really wanted to stay here. We have a great group of guys and a great organization to be a part of."

"It took a lot of patience on both sides," Evans said, in regards to talks which opened last spring. "But they were men of their words. They told me they were going to get this deal done and that's what happened."

Evans is in his sixth NFL season and among the league leaders in receiving yards. He has already shot up the Bills record books (including single game receiving yards) and is the only player in NFL history to catch two TD passes of at least 80 yards in one quarter.

The only two receivers who are higher paid than Evans? Carolina's Steve Smith and Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald.
