Drew Storen: “Baseball's Bruce Wayne”

Washington Nationals closer Drew Storen is a renaissance man.

He enjoys the finer things in life, including Batman, vacuum cleaners and yoga. At least that is what can be gleaned from this video from SB Nation's Amy K. Nelson, who recently spent a day in Viera, Fla., with Storen:

The 24-year-old Storen is an avid yoga practitioner, specifically Bakrim yoga, which consists of 26 different poses in 90 minutes in a room set to a cool 105 degrees. Bakrim yoga is "designed to 'scientifically' warm and stretch muscles, ligaments, and tendons in the order in which they should be stretched," which makes sense for a pitcher like Storen.

Yet, other than reliever Tyler Clippard, apparently none of Storen's fellow Nationals picthers feel the same way about yoga.

"Surprisingly, we have not given him a hard enough time about it, but we've definitely made fun of him a little bit," closer Brad Lidge said. "I told him that my wife goes everyday and they would probably be good friends."

When asked if he would join in Storen's yoga sessions. manager Davey Johnson was blunt.

"Probably not," he said.

I cannot blame Johnson or anybody else for not wanting to participate. Even after watching a condensed version of Storen's 90-minute session, I'm sweating at my computer, which is probably not good for me or the computer.

After yoga, Storen shows Nelson his Batmobile-like car and takes it for a spin. Holy yoga, Batman.
