Bryce Harper Plays Softball on National Mall

Washington Nationals rookie Bryce Harper just completed his first MLB road trip, going 2-for-6 in two games against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Nats have returned to D.C. following their West Coast road trip and begin a six-game homestand Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Before that, however, the team had a day off, Harper's first day off in Washington. So what did he do?

He did what every young professional in D.C. does with his or her down time: he played softball on the National Mall (though kickball might have been more appropriate).

Save those big cuts for the big leagues, Bryce. But really, this is how he will endear himself even more to the city that he now calls home.
