Bryce Harper to Return from Injury Monday

The Washington Nationals reinstated slugger Bryce Harper from the disabled list Monday, confirming his return from a left thumb injury that cost him two months of action.

He will start in left field against the Rockies on what just so happens to be Bryce Harper Bobblehead Night. How serendipitous.

Harper required surgery on a torn ulnar collateral ligament in late April which forced him to miss 59 games.

The 21-year-old recently has been making the rounds through the team's minor-league system as he prepared for his return to the lineup.

On Saturday with Double-A Harrisburg, Harper more than proved that his hand is in working order once again, smashing three home runs Saturday for the Senators.

Yeah, I think he is good to go.

In five rehab games, Harper finished 9-for-14 (.643) with four home runs, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored.
