Bryce Harper Hits First Triple-A Home Run

Washington Nationals prospect Bryce Harper speaks loudly and carries a big stick.

He finally proved the latter Sunday when he hit his first career Triple-A home run.

As you can see below, Harper took Jeurys Familia's 3-1 fastball deep to right field for a solo shot that provided the Syracuse Chiefs with their only run of the game in a 6-1 loss to the Buffalo Bisons:

It was Harper's first extra-base hit in five games and first home run in 16.

"I just got a pitch I could drive," Harper told the Syracuse Post-Standard. "I was finally on time on something. I was trying to put something in play and do something."

About time, Bryce.
