Brandon Knight Drenched by Gatorade During Pistons' Win Over Wizards

The Washington Wizards rarely give us local folks highlights worth praising (or highlights at all), so when Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight did us the rare pleasure of giving us one at Verizon Center Monday, it was close enough.

During the fourth quarter of what ultimately became a 79-77 comeback victory for the Pistons, Knight went to track down a loose ball. Instead, he got a shower:

Knight clears the Pistons' bench before slamming into a cooler of Gatorade serving as a tray for several cups of the thirst quencher. He was no worse for wear, although he was wearing Gatorade.

"I just got up drenched," Knight said after the game. "I felt like I was sweating a lot."

There is no truth to the rumor that Knight was trying to impress Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, who was in attendance Monday (partially because I just made it up), but Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey got rid of any excess fluid when he drained the game-winning jumper with less than one second left.

I will show myself out.
