The University of Maryland says it will begin offering lifetime scholarships to all of its college athletes.
Starting in November, athletes who leave school to pursue professional careers can come back to finish their degree.
Athletes who leave school because of an injury or family emergency will also be able to return to finish their work.
But those students must be in good academic standing when they leave.
