Redskins Coach Gruden's Son Charged With Drunk in Public

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden’s son Jack Gruden, a video assistant with the team, was charged with drunk in public in Virginia early Saturday morning.

A sheriff’s deputy saw the 22-year-old Gruden in an argument with another man at the One Loudoun shopping center in Ashburn and separated them, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Gruden then got into two other confrontations.

He was charged and released on personal recognizance.

"We are aware of the arrest of Jack Gruden,” the Redskins said in a statement. “We are gathering more information and will not comment until we have further details."

Gruden joined the team as a video assistant on a full-time basis in the 2018 offseason, according to his Redskins bio

One Loudoun is the same place where Redskins safety Montae Nicholson and a woman he was with were accused of assaulting two other people in December. Nicholson was charged with assault and battery and drunk in public.
