Adam Jones might be back on the field Tuesday when the Orioles play the Mets.

Baltimore -- Baltimore Oriolescenter fielder Adam Jones was scratched from Sunday's game with Atlanta because of a bruised left shin.

Jones, who was injured in the Orioles' 8-4 win on Saturday, was replaced by Felix Pie. Jones had a two-run homer in the victory.

In the original lineup posted Sunday by Orioles manager Dave Trembley, Jones was lifted after he experienced pain while trying to run.

"He came in, told me he couldn't run at 100 percent. He's sore, so I took him out," Trembley said.

Trembley said Jones, who's batting .324 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs, could be available to pinch-hit. He plans to play Jones on Tuesday against the New York Mets.
