Orioles Owner Suing Facebook

Argues the site violates privacy laws

One of Baltimore’s most prominent attorneys, and the owner of the Orioles, has filed a lawsuit against Facebook.

According to The Daily Record of Baltimore, Peter Angelos, along with another California-based law firm filed the suit in a San Jose District Court. They argue the social network has violated privacy laws by using online tracking technology to monitor users even when they aren’t on Facebook’s site.

Angelos is representing a Baltimore man and North Carolina woman in the suit. Facebook said in a statement that they believe the case is without merit.
