Oddsmakers Favor Washington to Beat Bruins

Caps will get two cracks at Boston in the next four games

A visit to Washington could put the Caps in front of the Bruins, if bets made by oddsmakers are any indication.

Meanwhile, Jose Theodore is expected to start tonight against the Bruins, according to The Washington Post’s Tarik El-Bashir.

In his Capitals Insider blog, El-Bashir says that a pair of wins for the Caps would make their deficit -- they trail the Bruins by 11 points in the Eastern Conference -- much more manageable down the stretch.

The Caps will get two cracks at Boston in the next four games.

"If we don't win both games, they are going to be pretty tough to catch," Coach Bruce Boudreau said.

Tonight, at least, it would seem the home team has the advantage.  The Spread reports that oddsmakers have made the Capitals –120 money line favorites for tonight’s game against the Bruins, and current NHL Public Betting Information shows that 53% of more than 168 bets have been placed on the Capitals.

The game starts at 7 p.m. at The Verizon Center.
