NORFOLK, Va. -- DeMauria Liles scored 20 points and No. 15 Maryland held Old Dominion without a field goal for the final four minutes in a 74-65 victory on Sunday.
Shadasia Green's layup gave the Lady Monarchs a 63-62 lead with 3:56 to play, but Old Dominion, which led by as many as eight points in the first half, made just two free throws the rest of the way.
"That's not the effort that we can afford to have in our own house and expect to be a top-20 team," Old Dominion coach Wendy Larry said. "It's just not gonna happen. The rebounding differential, the free-throw differential - it's all indicative of a team that was outworked."
The Lady Monarchs (5-4), who shot 34 percent from the floor (24 of 71), made just 9 of 14 foul shots to Maryland's 26 on 39 attempts and were outrebounded 53-43.
Old Dominion, which had its 29-game home winning streak snapped in Thursday's 81-76 loss to No. 11 Tennessee, was led by junior forward Jessica Canady's 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The back-to-back losses were the first for Old Dominion in the seven-year-old Ted Constant Center since the 2005-06 season, when the Lady Monarchs lost 88-80 in overtime to No. 5 North Carolina on Dec. 29 and 83-67 to No. 1 Tennessee on Jan 2.
Old Dominion's first-half lead evaporated behind a 15-2 Terrapins run, and the Maryland (9-2) led by two points at halftime.

The Lady Monarchs co-leading scorer Tiffany Green, a 6-foot-2 senior center averaging 13.8 points per game, was held without a point and picked up two fouls in the first half. She didn't score until she made a layup five minutes into the second period and finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out with two minutes to play.
"She's a very talented player, and I thought our post players did a tremendous job in terms of defending her," Maryland coach Brenda Frese said. "Obviously it was to our advantage when she got into some early foul trouble, for us to be able to keep attacking and penetrating to the rim to be able to get the free-throw line."
Maryland guard Kristi Toliver, the Atlantic Coast Conference preseason player of the year, had 19 points, and Marissa Coleman had 16 points and 13 rebounds.
