Loudoun South to Face Hawaii at Little League World Series

Two games, 10 innings and no hits allowed for Loudoun South so far at the Little League Baseball World Series.

The team from South Riding, Virginia, representing the Southeast region faces Hawaii next in the tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Loudoun South beat Minnesota 11-0 Sunday. The game was called after four innings under the mercy rule.

Pitcher Justin Lee struck out six and walked two Sunday, WTOP reported.

Lee, Liam Thyen and Chase Obstgarten combined to throw another no-hitter in their first game of the World Series, a 3-0 defeat of Rhode Island, WTOP reported.

“Our pitchers have been doing really well,” catcher Noah Culpepper told WTOP. “Justin Lee … is one of our best pitchers. When he can find the strike zone, he can do anything.”

Loudoun South plays Hawaii Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Hawaii has also won its first two games of the World Series.
