Harvick, Edwards Top Final Speed Charts at New Hampshire

Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick start 1-2 in Sunday's race at New Hampshire, and they topped the speed charts in the final practices.

Edwards was fastest in the Saturday morning session for Joe Gibbs Racing with a lap of 133.516 mph. Harvick led the second session in the afternoon at 134.577.

Chase for the Sprint Cup championship drivers took 10 of the top 12 spots on the speed chart in the final practice for the second race in NASCAR's playoffs.

Edwards was fast again a day after he won the pole as Joe Gibbs Racing goes for its fourth straight victory

Harvick's bid to repeat as series champion took a hit last week at Chicagoland when a blown tire led to a 42nd-place finish. But he may have found his groove in New Hampshire. He finished just a tick behind Edwards in qualifying, was second in Saturday's early practice and then zipped to the top of the chart in his No. 4 Chevrolet.
