Redskins Pick Up a Player From the Jets

No, its not Santonio Holmes.

ESPN reported that the Redskins signed the Jets' former second-round draft pick Kellen Clemens to a one year contract on Wednesday.

Clemens has been kicking around with the Gang Green since the days of Chad Pennington, but watched Brett Favre and then rookie Mark Sanchez grab the starting job ahead of him.

At number three on the Jets depth chart last year, Clemens is expected to compete for the number two spot, covering the Skins at backup in case Rex Grossman decides to split.
