Buffalo Picks up T.O.'s Bills

WR Terrell Owens signs with Buffalo Bills

The traveling circus that is Terrell Owens is stopping in Buffalo for at least a year.

The talented but unsettled wide receiver has agreed to a one-year $6.5 million deal with the Bills, according to sources who spoke with ESPN.com. The sources said the money is guaranteed.

T.O. was cut by the Dallas Cowboys last week and his agent insisted the brash pass catcher would not take long to find a new home.

''I'm leaving America's team (for) North America's team,'' Owens said at a news conference Saturday evening, the Associated Press reported. It will be the first time he plays in the AFC.

Owens was drafted by the San Francisco 49'ers and later signed with the Philadelphia Eagles before landing in Dallas. The Cowboys finished a disappointing 9-7 last year and did not make the playoffs in a season marked by collapses on the field and discord in the locker room - largely fueled by T.O.

Though spectacularly talented, Owens has been plagued by big pass drops during games and public relations missteps off the field. He has also made life difficult for his quarterbacks - some of whom are likely future hall famers - and it will be interesting to see how he fares with with Bills QB Trent Edwards, who is only entering his second full year as starter.
