Agent 6 Era Ends After 4 Months

Arenas doesn't want No. 6 anymore

Agent Zero's search for a new number has taken a detour.

Gilbert Arenas has worn No. 0 since college, but it was announced in March he would be switching to No. 6 for the upcoming season.

New Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis revealed in his blog Thursday that Arenas now wants to change his jersey number to something other than No. 6.

LeBron James also announced plans to switch to No. 6, but that likely has nothing to do with Arenas's decision. The Wizards have expressed no interest in signing the free agent from Cleveland, opting instead to help other teams create space under the salary cap so they can pursue the King.

Leonsis warned against reading too much into Arenas's change of heart, writing, "This isn't the 'DaVinci Code.'"

The number change is part of an image overhaul -- be a hero, not a zero -- as he returns from a suspension and felony conviction for brining guns into the locker room.

So, what number would you have him wear?
