Unfortunately, Zachary Leonsis's good luck charms did not bring the Washington Wizards what they ultimately wanted, as they will select third in the 2012 NBA Draft June 28.
Washington had a 19.9 percent chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, but slid down one place. The Charlotte Bobcats, who had a 25 percent chance of claiming the top selection, slipped to second, giving the New Orleans Hornets the first overall pick.
Perhaps a saving grace is the fact that the Wizards will have a higher pick than they did last summer; they selected sixth overall in 2011.
