President and First Lady on Date Night in D.C.

America’s first couple dines at a popular Washington restaurant.

They may be the most high-profile couple in the country, but President Obama and his wife Michelle still manage to find the time for a quiet night out on the town.

On Monday, the President took the First Lady to dinner at The Source for her 47th birthday.  The restaurant, which serves up Asian-themed cuisine, is owned by Wolfgang Puck and sits inside the Newseum in Northwest Washington.

The couple spent approximately two hours at the restaurant, although there’s no word what they dined on during that time.

Earlier in the day, the entire first family took part in a service project at Stuart Hobson Middle School on Capitol Hill, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  The students then serenaded the first lady with a special version of “Happy Birthday”.
