Walk-In Absentee Voting Begins in D.C.

Voters cast ballots before Nov. 4 at board of elections

If you are a registered voter in the District of Columbia, you don't have to wait until Nov. 4 to cast your ballot in the presidential election.

The D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics said any registered voter can cast a walk-in absentee ballot at board headquarters from now until Nov. 3. If you want an absentee mail-in ballot, you have until Oct. 28 to pick up an application.

Voter registration for the election ended Oct. 6.

Looking ahead to Election Day, elections board chairman Errol Arthur said the board is confident it will have enough poll workers and ballots for all the District's 143 polling place.
