Shot Fired at GOP Office in Maryland: Police

A shot was fired at the Republican Party's office in Salisbury, Md., shattering the glass front door, according to party officials.

Salisbury police discovered the vandalism early Wednesday at the office on Route 13, and state party officials said staff found a bullet in the office.

Nothing was taken from the building and no other businesses in the complex were targeted by vandalism, police said.

The office is one of the party's seven regional offices that serve as volunteer hubs.

Police have not established a motive in the shooting, but Party Chairwoman Audrey Scott calls the incident very troubling.
