    Virginia voters head to the polls today to cast their ballots in the Republican primary.

    Among the races in our area is the contest in the 11th Congressional District. Voters will decide which Republican candidate, Keith Fimian or Pat Herrity, will challenge first-term Democrat Gerry Connolly in November.

    There is also a primary in Virginia's 8th District. Republicans Matthew B. Berry and. J. Patrick Murray are battling it out to challenge incumbent Jim Moran.

    Polls will stay open until 7 p.m.
