The president and first lady spent part of their Saturday at a basketball game in Chevy Chase, Md.
Sasha Obama, the couple's younger daughter, had a game Saturday morning at the Jane Lawton Community Recreation Center.
After the game, President Obama returned to the White House where aides say he's monitoring the changing events in Egypt.
