The chairman of the D.C. City Council is facing a complaint from campaign finance authorities.
The complaint from the Office of Campaign Finance accuses Kwame Brown's campaign committee of failing to report more than $100,000 in contributions during his 2008 bid for re-election.
The complaint also accuses the Brown campaign of failing to report or substantiate nearly $350,000 in expenditures. The complaint largely resembles an audit from April that also scrutinized Brown's campaign finances.
Brown has said all funds were spent on campaign-related expenses.
