D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty is almost as famous for his athleticism as he is for his refusal to play nice with council. Well, he wasn't playing all that nice with children at Hillcrest Recreation Center Friday morning, either.
Fenty, who is always training for triathlons, demonstrated his skills on a short indoor tennis court -- against middle school students from the Winston Education Campus, D.C. Wire reported. After asking the kids to go easy on him, Fenty plowed through them like, well, not like a D.C. plow through snow. But you get the idea.
He didn't exactly go all Billy Madison on his pint-size opponents but he didn't let up, either. Washington Post video illustrated his competitive nature, showing him arguing the boundaries and thrusting his hands skyward upon victory.
