Wednesday Watch List: Sharks Never Sleep

Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and walk the ferret. LET’S GO!

HOW SHARKS HUNT – 9:00PM (Discovery) Shark Week swims along with this hourlong look at the killing techniques of sharks: how they stalk, how they circle, and how they eventually decide to blitz their prey and snatch them up in the powerful jaws, feasting upon the bloodied flesh and leaving nothing but a rotted skeleton in a matter of seconds. In other news, I'm having fish sticks for dinner this evening. ANTICIPATION: JAWSY!

TRUCK STOP, MISSOURI – 10:00PM (Travel Channel) It's a new show about the comings and goings at... you guessed it... a truck stop in Missouri. Finally. All my life, I've wanted the experience of being trapped at a roadside rest stop available to me at home, and now here it is. No word on if they put a camera in the bathroom of the truck stop during the "lonely hours." Tonight's premiere features a bikini car wash. I have clearly been stopping at the wrong rest stops. ANTICIPATION: TRUCKY!

MY RIDE RULES – 9:00PM (Speed) Think your car is all that, do you? What with its platinum rims and tiger cage in the back? Well, time to put your money where your mouth is, on this show in which four car owners show off their pride and joy. Best car wins a cash prize. My Honda CRV is apparently not cool enough to enter. ANTICIPATION: TRICKED OUT!

DEADLIEST WARRIOR – 10:00PM (Spike) It's a hypothetical battle between US Army Rangers and North Korean Special Ops. I don't know why we need to see this imagined scenario when the real thing will probably happen a year from now. ANTICIPATION: FIGHTIN'!

LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN – 11:30PM (CBS) Your guests tonight are Emma Stone and the CEO of Ford. And I hope David asks him why the Ford Focus headrest insists on being angled directly into the base of my neck. Annoying. That ride does not rule. ANTICIPATION: SHILLING!
