Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney, who is part of the “fierce five” U.S. women’s gymnastics team, met President Barack Obama on Thursday. And by her own account she was “not impressed” with him.
Or, more precisely, Maroney and the president were “not impressed” together, as evidenced by an official White House photo for which they posed sporting the gymnast’s trademark smirk.
President Obama was of course playing along, offering his own version of Maroney’s I’m-not-impressed smile, for which she is well known.

After taking the photo, Maroney tweeted, “Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President?”
It was all in good fun.
Accompanying Maroney to the White House were her fellow gymnasts Kyla Ross, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and Jordyn Wieber.
