Tapiture and jockey Ricardo Santana jr., crossed the finish line to win the $300,000 Southwest Stakes horse race at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark., Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. Tapiture stands in 13th place with 52 season points, but showed his fortitude by overcoming a trip in the Rebel Stakes to finish second. He turns 3 on Kentucky Derby day, so we'll have to see whether or not the young horse can go all the way on his big day.
