With its Aug. 6 release just a few weeks away, the first five minutes of "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" have appeared online in an effort to boost the film's profile.
Part of what makes the opening -- and the rest of the film -- so great is writer-director J Blakeson (who talked to PopcornBiz this spring about how his film) throwing his audience into the action, wasting no time with unnecessary expostional dialogue. It quickly becomes clear that something bad is going to happen, what exactly is then slowly revealed.
