“The Apprentice” To Make An Early Fall Arrival

Due to a fall lineup reorganization, "The Apprentice" will be back, sooner than expected.

NBC announced on Thursday that the new, non-celebrity edition is being moved up to take the place of romantic comedy "Love Bites," which is still in development.

This season the reality show is taking its cues from the tough economic times that have befallen the country. 16 contestants who have lost their jobs during the recession will compete against each other for a job with the Trump Organization. As usual, Donald will be on hand to hire - or fire - as he sees fit.

The show will air on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Eastern time, in the time slot originally slated for "Love Bites." The sit-com will make its debut later in the year.

And for those looking for their celebrity fill, don't worry: the "Celebrity Apprentice" will be back on air next spring.
