Singer-songwriter turned television personality Paula Abdul just sold her lavish Sherman Oaks, California crib for $1.884 million, reports the Los Angeles Times. The sale of the home is quite impressive given Abdul put the pad on the market a little over a month ago. Take a our of Abdul's former home, which we think is totally worth "idolizing."
Abdul originally listed the gated estate for $1.899 million in late March. We can't help but think that the celeb name attached to the place and the downright luxurious nature of the house helped with the quick sale.
Enter the grand home and you'll find a two-story entryway complete with a lavish double staircase.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Abdul had owned the crib since 2000 when she bought it for $1.285 million. Kudos to the former "American Idol" judge on the profit she turned on this sale.
Multiple sets of French doors in the great room lead out to the private patio and pool deck.
A California-native (she was born in San Francisco), Abdul got her start in Tinseltown as a Laker girl.
We bet that during her early years in Hollywood, Abdul never dreamed she would live in a mansion this grand.

Abdul's former abode spans 4,600 square feet and includes this sweet gourmet kitchen.

Along with the five bedrooms, the upstairs is so spacious.
There's even a large media/family room.

A view of the sweet walk-in closet. It's a shame Abdul moved out before these photos were taken because we imagine the closet chock full of some amazing designer duds.
The gated mansion includes five bedrooms in all.
Abdul has become a staple on reality shows as a judge. She's judged shows that include "Live to Dance," "American Idol," and "The X-Factor."

The spread is located in Sherman Oaks, which is in the San Fernando Valley. According to Redfin, Abdul paid about $1.5 million in taxes on the property in 2010.

In addition to a sweet outdoor entertainment space and pool, Abdul's home is perched so that it provides very picturesque views of the canyon and city.
