“Stoked” Bill Condon Vows No Musical Numbers in “Breaking Dawn”

"Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon has given his first promise to "Twi-hards" -- this is not going to resemble his past hit, "Dreamgirls."

"There won't be any musical numbers," Condon wrote on his Facebook page in a letter to fans.

Condon showed a cheeky sense of humor in the missive, directed to "Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland."

In the note Condon said he was "stoked" (please notice attempt to use young-person word to express excitement) to take on the coveted directing job and said he was trying to get himself up to speed. It's a process which has included reading "Breaking Dawn" twice and watching the past two movies 2-3 times each, he said. "A guy has gotta start somewhere," he said.

Condon expressed a life-long love of vampires and the "Twilight" world.  And rather than say whether he's Team Edward or Team Jacob, Condon gave credit to all.

"I'm a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristin, Robert and Taylor. and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys."

"Really, what could be more fun than that?"

Well, vampires and werewolves coming together to sing "One Night Only."
