Feds Eye CIA Officer in Abu Ghraib Death

A former CIA officer has become a part of a war crimes investigation for supervising a harsh interrogation program at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, according to The Associated Press. Steve Stormoen allegedly pushed for brutal questioning techniques in an unofficial interrogation program when the CIA wasn't allowed to run such programs on its own. Iraqi prisoner Manadel al-Jamadi died following interrogation in a shower stall, although Stormoen was not in the room at the time. A photo of an Army officer smiling next to his body was one of the disturbing pictures that caused outrage when they surfaced eight years ago.
