Tomorrow's Political Stars: Who to Watch in 2014

What do 2014's political rising stars have in common? For one, they're unafraid of a good fight. That's true of Liz Cheney, the former vice presdient's daughter, who unexpectedly announced she'd challenge Wyoming's sitting Sen. Mike Enzi in the GOP primary — and then got into a public spat about gay marriage with her married gay sister to boot. It's also true of Wendy Davis, who became a hero to abortion rights supporters when she staged a one-woman, 11-hour filibuster in an effort to block Texas' onerous new abortion restrictions. She now hopes to become Texas' first Democratic governor in two decades. Kentucky Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes is gearing up for a fight for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's seat, meanwhile, and in Wisconsin, Gov. Scott Walker — who has publicly battled public-sector unions and survived a recall effort — is running for reelection in a tight race.
