Stocks plunged Tuesday with the Dow falling more than 375 points in morning trading. The slide followed news that that business spending plans fell for a fourth straight month in December, NBC News reported. Some companies also reported disappointing earnings. The Northeast blizzard appeared to have little impact on trading.
