“Real Housewives of New Jersey” Cast Banned from Country Club

A fight better suited for the glitz of an Atlantic City casino has gotten a reality show cast banned from an upscale country club, according to the New York Daily News.

The cast and crew of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are barred from returning to the New Jersey Country Club in Wayne, N.J., following a melee that broke out during a charity fashion show between Danielle Staub, one of the show's controversy-plagued starlets, and Ashley Holmes, the daughter of one of Danielle's former friends.

In a letter to the club's membership, general manager John Stanley announced the ban.

"It is safe to say that the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' cast and crew members are not welcome at the North Jersey Country Club and I assure you that nothing like this will ever occur again at this club," he wrote.

Stanley admitted that he was unaware of the shows 'true nature," which contributed to allowing the show to be filmed there. He also said that the women are the show were not the kind of people that should be members of the establishment.

"It is quite apparent from watching [the show] that the cast members and not affiliated with this Club or more importantly represent the many great families that comprise the North Jersey membership that calls this club their second home," he said.

During the brawl, Holmes ripped out some of Staub's hair extensions and the police were called to quell the fisticuffs. Holmes was found guilty of assault and had to pay a $189 fine.
