In a big win for legal weed, The New York Times on Saturday called for an end to the federal government's ban on marijuana, NBC News reported. The editorial, which was posted to The Times' website on Saturday, likened the federal law outlawing the drug to the failed prohibition of alcohol in the 1920s and 30s and said the balance falls on the side of national legalization "on every level." Washington and Colorado have legalized marijuana for recreational use and other states are considering it as well.
