Libyan leader Col. Moammar Khaddafy wants coalition air strikes to end, but he doesn’t hold them against President Obama. In fact, the strongman writes in a rambling letter to Obama that he wishes him “victory” in his re-election fight. In the three-page letter, which was obtained by The Associated Press and is rife with misspellings, Khaddafy addresses Obama “our son.” He urges the American president to "annul a wrong” and stop NATO’s “unjust war against a small people of a developing country” in the interest of world peace, friendship between peoples and “for the sake of economic, and security cooperation against terror.” The White House confirmed having received a letter from Khaddafy, but seemed to dismiss his call for a cease-fire, according to the AP.
