N. Korea Fires at S. Korea Navy Boat in Sea Border Clash

A North Korean navy ship fired two artillery shells at a South Korean naval boat on Thursday, leading to retaliatory shelling from the South and the evacuation of nearby islands, defense officials told NBC News. Neither of the ships was hit by fire. The clash is just the latest in ongoing maritime border disputes between the two rivals. South Korean navy ships fired warning shots at three North Korean warships on Tuesday after they crossed the sea boundary.
