Billy Crystal came out on stage to inform the audience that the show was running long and that he'd been asked to announce the best Picture nominees, getting a big laugh and inspiring millions to think, "If only."
Crystal, who has hosted the show eight times in the past, then talked briefly about his experiences, before cuing up a clip of the King of Oscar hosts, Bob Hope, who was a genius in his corny, old-school way.
Holmes and Watson, aka Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, came out to present the Best Visual Effects to Paul Franklin, Chris Corbould, Andrew Lockley and Peter Bebb for "Inception."
