A Florida woman received over $200 in fines and a citation for taking her handicapped cat for a walk in a park without a leash, WESH Orlando reported.
Steel was issued $230 in fines during a walk on Oct. 8 for failing to have Pooh Bear and McKenzie, a Chihuahua, on a leash, and for a rabies shot violation.
Yvonne Steel's cat, Pooh Bear, cannot move his back legs, so he is outfitted with what his owner calls a "wheel chair." The device, which straps onto the cat's midsection, allows him to walk and gets him much-needed exercise.
According to Brevard County Animal Services, all animals need to be on a leash, regardless of a disability.
For Steel, the focus on whether or not her animals are properly leashed is a waste of police resources.

"The fact there's so much crime here, they should have been looking into pedophiles, people with knives," said Steel.
Police said they have a video recording of Steel walking her other dogs, German shepherds, without leashes.
