Dutch Prime Minister Suspends Search for MH17 Victims in Ukraine

The Dutch prime minister on Wednesday announced that recovery teams searching for victims at the Malaysia Airlines crash site would suspend their efforts due to dangerous conditions. Prime Minister Mark Rutte said in a statement that the security situation in eastern Ukraine where Flight MH17 was shot down has gotten "progressively worse." So far, 228 coffins have been returned to the Netherlands, but it's not clear how many bodies have returned. Rutte said the chaos on the ground was exposing investigators to "unnecessary risk."
