Donnie Wahlberg Leaves Massive $2,000 Tip for Waffle House Server

The singer also provided other Waffle House patrons tickets and backstage passes to the New Kids on the Block concert

Most people opt to tip 18 to 20 percent on a restaurant bill. But even the best service doesn't usually earn a tip like this.

New Kids on the Block star Donnie Wahlberg left a whopping $2,000 tip on his $82 dinner bill at a Charlotte Waffle House on Thursday.

In a Facebook post, Wahlberg described his family’s participation in the hospitality industry and thanked the Waffle House team for their service.

"My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars-- for years! So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!” he wrote. “Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC!”

The singer also posted a video on Facebook that showed his experience at the restaurant, where he gave other diners tickets and backstage passes to the New Kids on the Block show, according to the Daily News.

Wahlberg is the older brother of actor Mark Wahlberg, who together with their older brother, Paul, run the burger chain Wahlburgers.
